MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- (RV) University of Rio Grande (Ohio) senior Zach Harvey set the school record for most career shutouts and earned River States Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week for April 15-22.

A right-hander from Kenova, W.Va., Harvey claimed his third RSC weekly honor of the year with a 1-0 shutout of IU Kokomo on Saturday. He struck out 14 and walked just two in 9.0 innings of four-hit ball. It was the first loss at home for IU Kokomo, and it gave Harvey 11 wins on the year to tie for the NAIA national lead.

Rio Grande won that series two out of three games to improve to 32-17 overall, 16-8 RSC. The RedStorm goes to Northwestern Ohio on Tuesday for a doubleheader.
