Pollock's huge weekend earns RSC Baseball Player of the Week for WVU Tech

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- WVU Tech's Douglas Pollock had a huge weekend in an RSC series sweep and earned River States Conference Baseball Player of the Week for April 15-22.

A junior from Monroeville, Pa., Pollock was 9 for 13 in the three-game sweep of Ohio Christian. Every game of the series was a multi-hit performance, and he also tallied two doubles, six RBIs and one walk.

Pollock started out going 4 for 5 with three RBIs in the series opener. He was then 2 for 4 with a couple of runs in the next game and 3 for 4 with two doubles and two RBIs in the weekend finale.

WVU Tech is 19-28 overall, 9-15 RSC and will be at (RV) Rio Grande this weekend for its final conference series.
