Point Park soars to lead after Day 1 at RSC Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championships
EATON, Ohio (Day 1 Results) – The opening day of the River States Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships took place on April 25 at Eaton High School.
Men's Top Three Teams – through 7 events
Point Park – 61 points
Ohio Christian University – 36 points
Cincinnati Christian University – 34 points
Field Event Finals - Day 1
Men's Pole Vault – Jaleel Parris – Brescia - 3.35m
Men's High Jump – Michael Morris – Point Park - 1.95m
Men's Long Jump – Chance Callahan – Point Park - 6.73m
Men's Hammer Throw – Zachary Collins of Rio Grande set a new conference record of 50.50m which broke the previous mark of 49.22m set in 2016.
Track Event Finals Day 1
Men's 4x800 meter relay – Point Park set a RSC record of 7:56.46 which beat Rio Grande's mark of 8:05.43 set in 2017.
Men's 5,000 meter Race Walk – Steven Smith – WVU Tech – 23:07.28
Men's 10,000 meter Run – Drake Dickerson – Ohio Christian – 34:51.40
The remaining events held on Day 1 of the RSC Outdoor Track & Field Championships were all preliminary heats that will have finals completed on April 26.
