Woeste claims RSC Baseball Player of the Week for (RV) IU Southeast
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- (RV) IU Southeast sophomore infielder Clay Woeste tallied 10 hits and five stolen bases in five games from April 1-7 to claim River States Conference Baseball Player of the Week.
The Lawrenceburg, Ind., native was 10 for 20 on the week for a .500 batting average and was a perfect 5 for 5 in stolen bases to power the Grenadiers to a 3-2 record and a big series win two out of three over IU Kokomo.
He had six hits in the RSC series including going 3 for 4 and 2 for 4 in the final two games to give IU Southeast the series win. Woeste tallied five runs, a double, three RBIs and three walks on the week. He was 4 for 4 with a walk, a double and two runs in the first game of the week versus Campbellsville (Ky.).
IU Southeast is 26-11 overall, 14-4 RSC for first place in the conference and will be at No. 21 Georgetown (Ky.) on Wednesday.
