Jablonowski named RSC Women's Tennis Player of the Week from (RV) Asbury (Ky.)
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- (RV) Asbury (Ky.) University sophomore Kendall Jablonowski went a perfect 8-0 on the week to claim River States Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week from April 1-7.
A native of Belleville, Texas, went unbeaten at 4-0 in both singles and doubles as the Eagles went 4-0 as a team in their matches. That included 3-0 in RSC play with wins over IU Kokomo, Ohio Christian and Carlow.
Jablonowski played No. 1 doubles in the matches, which started off with a victory over No. 17 Georgetown (Ky.), 9-7. She also played No. 3 and No. 4 singles with straight-sets victories in all matchups. She won, 6-4, 6-1 versus No. 17 Georgetown and 6-0, 6-0 without dropping a game in the three conference matches.
Asbury is 8-4, 5-0 RSC and has a big matchup at fellow RSC unbeaten opponent IU Southeast (4-0 RSC) on Thursday at 2 p.m.
