Asbury (Ky.) embarks on NAIA Men's Tennis National Championship from the RSC

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Asbury (Ky.) University is competing in the NAIA Men's Tennis National Championship May 14-18 in Mobile, Ala., representing the River States Conference. The NAIA officially released the bracket for the 68th Annual NAIA Women's Tennis National Championship, which will be held at the Mobile Tennis Center for the 16th-consecutive year.
Asbury was selected as the No. 23 national seed and will matchup with the No. 10 national seed Union College (Ky.). The match is set for May 14 at 8:30 AM.
This will mark the second time that both teams will meet this season, with Union winning the first matchup 6-1.
AU will make their sixth trip back to Mobile in the past seven years and will look to build off their strong end to the regular season and conference tournament play. The Eagles are 13-3 on the year and have won 11 consecutive matches heading into nationals.
The Eagles also won the River States Conference (RSC) championship title on April 27 with a 5-1 victory over IU Southeast. Asbury is "receiving votes" nationally and is just outside the NAIA Top 25 at No. 27 overall.
