MIDWAY, Ky. -- Since winning their fourth consecutive River States Conference Championship nearly two weeks ago, the Midway women's golf team has hit the ground running preparing for their fourth straight trip to the NAIA Women's Golf National Championship.
The 25th annual event begins on Tuesday, May 14, and runs until Friday, May 17, at Lincoln Park Golf Course in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
It wasn't too long ago that the NAIA released the qualifiers for the 156-player field which consists of 19 automatic qualifying teams, 11 at-large berths as well as six individual qualifiers.
The NAIA also recently released pairings and tee times for the first and second rounds. The morning wave in the opening round on Tuesday begins at 8:30 a.m. ET, while the afternoon wave begins at 1:30 p.m. ET.
Times for the second round on Wednesday are the same, but teams will flip where they started in the first round. Tuesday's morning wave goes off in the afternoon on Wednesday, while Tuesday's afternoon tee times go off in the morning on Wednesday.
For the opening two rounds of the NAIA National Championship, the Eagles have been paired with William Penn (Iowa) – the Heart of America Athletic Conference Champion – and Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) – an at-large berth out of the Mid-South Conference.
The Eagles, Blue Raiders and Statesmen will go off on hole No. 1 in the afternoon on Tuesday beginning at 2:50 p.m. ET, while they will tee off from hole No. 10 in the morning wave on Wednesday starting at 9:54 a.m. ET.
Midway's lineup includes: Kayla Meredith (Brownsville, Ky.) playing at No. 5, Rachael Shelton (Leitchfield, Ky.) playing at No. 4, Rylee Beard (Campbellsville, Ky.) playing at No. 3, Hannah Scroggins (Williamstown, Ky.) playing at No. 2 and Jenna Lewis (Shelbyville, Ky.) playing at No. 1. Sydnee Beard (Campbellsville, Ky.) is also available as the alternate player for the Eagles.
Meredith will be the first to tee off on Tuesday beginning at 2:50 p.m., Shelton will tee off at 2:58 p.m., Beard at 3:06 p.m., Scroggins at 3:14 p.m. and Lewis at 3:22 p.m. ET. Then on Wednesday, they'll also go off in eight-minute intervals beginning at 9:54 a.m. ET.
