Brescia's Just claims RSC Volleyball Setter of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Brescia (Ky.) University sophomore Brittney Just led her team to an unbeaten weekend to claim River States Conference Volleyball Setter of the Week for Aug. 19-25.
The native of Louisville, Ky., had 143 assists in four matches -- all victories for the Bearcats at the Mid-South Crossover over the weekend. She racked up 8.94 assists and 1.75 digs per set. Just also added an attack percentage of .500 with four kills in eight attempts.
Brescia swept all four matches by a score of 3-0 to improve to 7-1 on the year. Just had highs of 43 assists and 10 digs in the final match versus Bethel. Another double-double came versus Pikeville (Ky.) with 35 assists and 10 digs. Just totaled 29 assists versus Shawnee State and 36 versus Blue Mountain.
Brescia's next match is Aug. 29 at Georgetown (Ky.).
