IU Southeast's Cosgrove named RSC Volleyball Attacker of the Week

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- IU Southeast outside hitter Alyssa Cosgrove had a strong, all-around week to claim River States Conference Volleyball Attacker of the Week for Aug. 19-25.

The 5-9 senior from Louisville, Ky., put together averages of 3.88 kills, 3.50 assists, 1.75 digs and 0.69 aces per set and hit .346 during four matches on the week. She led the Grenadiers to a 3-1 record with week totals of 62 kills, 56 assists, 28 digs, 11 aces and six blocks.

Cosgrove had a double-double of kills and assists in every match. She made it a triple-double of 20 kills, 16 assists and 14 digs in a 3-2 win over Georgetown (Ky.). Cosgrove nearly had another one with 17 kills, 11 assists and nine digs in a win over Cumberland (Tenn.). Another highlight was 14 kills, 18 assists and six aces versus Cumberlands (Ky.).

IU Southeast is 3-1 after the first week and will host Goshen (Ind.) on Aug. 30 for its next match.
