Fields picks up RSC Women's Golfer of the Week for IU East
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- IU East senior Lexie Fields won medalist in a team victory last week to pick up River States Conference Women's Golfer of the Week for Sept. 16-22.
Fields, from Middletown, Ohio, shot consecutive rounds of 79 at the 36-hole Freed Hardeman Fall Invitational to take first place. She was 7-over each day for a tournament total of 158 strokes. Fields came out on top of 39 golfers and led the Red Wolves to first place of six teams.
IU East, which has won back-to-back tournaments to begin the fall season, will next compete at the RSC Fall Preview Sept. 30-Oct. 1.
