Reynolds nabs RSC Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week for IU East
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- IU East standout Seth Reynolds posted an NAIA No. 1-ranked time this past weekend to earn River States Conference Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week honors for Jan. 6-12.
A senior from Eaton, Ohio, Reynolds ran the 60-meter hurdles in a time of 8.06 seconds, which took over the NAIA No. 1 ranking for the event this season. That came at the Findlay Open this past Saturday, and it qualified him for the NAIA Indoor National Championship with the 'A' qualifying standard.
It was one of three events he ran on the day, all of which garnered second-place showings. It was his first action since an injury ended last season in March 2019. He was second in the 400 meters at 50.79 seconds and was part of the second-place 4x400 relay that ran 3:38.10.
IU East will compete at the University of Indianapolis Challenge on Jan. 18.
