WVU Tech's Arrey earns RSC Men's Basketball Player of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- WVU Tech junior guard Junior Arrey averaged 30 points per game in two games to earn River States Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week from Jan. 13-19.
A 6-0 native of Blacklick, Ohio, Arrey put up averages of 30.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 3.0 steals per game as the Golden Bears went 1-1. He shot 77 percent from the floor (23 for 30).
An amazing performance started the week in a win over Rio Grande. Arrey had 35 points on 15-for-17 shooting for 88 percent from the floor. He also added six rebounds, five assists and four steals in that game. In a loss to Bluefield State, Arrey totaled 25 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists, and two steals and was 3 for 3 from beyond the arc.
WVU Tech is 11-7 overall, 6-1 RSC and will visit Alice Lloyd on Tuesday night.
