Rio Grande's Borquez nabs RSC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- University of Rio Grande (Ohio) midfielder Sebastian Borquez scored two goals in an RSC win to claim River States Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for Oct. 5-11.
The sophomore from Santiago, Chile, tallied two goals in the RedStorm's 6-0 win over RSC foe IU East. Borquez scored in the 56th and 61st minutes to push Rio Grande's lead to 3-0 after the teams played to a 0-0, halftime tie.
Rio Grande is 5-2, 3-1 RSC and visits Midway (Ky.) on Thursday.
