IU East's Gentry wins RSC Volleyball Attacker of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Indiana University East junior Lexi Gentry kept the Red Wolves unbeaten to earn River States Conference Volleyball Attacker of the Week Oct. 5-11.
The 5-11 junior from Newburgh, Ind., totaled 22 kills and 16 digs combined in a 2-0 weekend of the Red Wolves. That pushed IU East to 8-0 overall, 7-0 RSC. Gentry, an outside hitter, also totaled six blocks on the week.
She posted 11 kills, eight digs and two blocks in a 3-0 win over Midway (Ky.). Gentry then put together 11 kills, eight digs and four blocks in a four-set win over Asbury (Ky.)
IU East will visit Brescia (Ky.) and IU Southeast this weekend, Oct. 16-17.
