IU East's Shirley claims another RSC Volleyball Setter of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Indiana University East freshman Reece Shirley continued her lock on the award with another River States Conference Volleyball Setter of the Week honor for Oct. 19-25. It is the fourth time she's claimed the honor this year.
Shirley, from Michigan City, Ind., compiled 66 assists, 14 digs, eight aces and five kills in two matches on the week. She averaged 11.00 assists and 2.33 digs per set while hitting .455 on the attack. Shirley directed a Red Wolves offense that hit over .400 for the week.
Shirley put up 28 assists, five digs and seven aces in a sweep of Ohio Christian. She also had 38 assists, nine digs and three kills in a 3-0 win over Point Park (Pa.).
IU East is 11-0 overall, 10-0 RSC and has a big matchup at IU Kokomo on Oct. 30.
