Conn captures RSC Men's Golfer of the Week for preview win
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Midway (Ky.) University senior Logan Conn was the medalist at the conference preview tournament last week to earn River States Conference Men's Golfer of the Week for Sept. 28-Oct. 4.
A native of Prestonburg, Ky., Conn won the tournament by three strokes and led the Eagles to the team title in the preview to the RSC Men's Golf Championship later this year. Conn opened with a 5-under 66 -- the lowest round of the tournament -- and he closed with a 73 for a two-day total of 139.
Midway won first place as a team thanks to a team score of 293 each day. The tournament was held at Belterra Golf Club in Florence, Ind. The Eagles will go to the Roger Merb Shootout Oct. 19-20.
