Asbury's Ruble gets RSC Women's Basketball Player of the Week in upset win
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Asbury (Ky.) University sophomore Jaclynn Ruble had a big game in a big upset to earn River States Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for Nov. 2-8.
A 5-9 guard from Lawrenceburg, Ky., Ruble scored 17 points in a 78-63 victory over No. 7-ranked Southeastern (Fla.) last week. She also added six rebounds and four assists in the upset.
Ruble made 5 of 11 from the field, 6 for 8 from the foul line and also sunk a 3-pointer. Asbury is 1-1 overall and will be at Taylor on Nov 13.
