Midway's Jackson tabbed RSC Women's Basketball Player of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Midway (Ky.) University guard Jalyn Jackson had a strong, all-around game to garner River States Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for Nov. 9-15.
A 5-3 freshman from Alexandria, Ky., Jackson put together 26 points, five rebounds, five assists and six steals in the only game of the week. That came against "receiving votes" team Lindsey Wilson (Ky.). The Eagles lost, 85-71, despite the big game from Jackson.
She made 7 of 14 from the field and 11 of 14 free throws. Midway (Ky.) is 1-2 overall and hosts No. 4 Campbellsville on Nov. 19.
