Rio Grande's Borquez scores RSC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- University of Rio Grande (Ohio) sophomore Sebastian Borquez scored 11 points in one game to win River States Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week Oct. 26-Nov. 1.
Borquez, a midfielder from Santiago, Chile, had five goals and one assist for his 11 points in a win at Carlow. Borquez tied a school record for goals in a single game in the RedStorm's 11-0 win.
Rio Grande is 8-2 overall, 6-1 RSC and has only makeup games remaining in its regular-season schedule.
