2020 RSC Men's & Women's Cross Country Championship Information
**FINAL RESULTS: Women's 5K I Men's 8K
RIO GRANDE, Ohio -- The 2020 River States Conference Men's & Women's Cross Country Championships are set for Saturday, Nov. 7 hosted by the University of Rio Grande (Ohio). The women's 5,000-meter race kicks things off at 2:00 p.m. ET while the men's 8,000-meter race will follow at 2:45 p.m. ET.
Twelve women's teams and 12 men's teams are scheduled to be in Rio Grande, Ohio, competing for the championships. The team champion and runner-up of each race will earn qualification to the NAIA Cross Country National Championship provided 12 teams complete the race. There will also be individual national-qualifying spots on the line in each race.
Spectators are allowed to attend the race, but they must remain in the designated area for fans. All spectators must remain on the hillside near the finish line. Masks are required to be worn when social distancing cannot be maintained.
The top seven finishers in each race will earn All-River States Conference First Team honors while the finishers in 8-14th place will earn All-RSC Second Team accolades. Individual awards and Champions of Character awards will also be given.
Individual national qualifications will be awarded to the top six finishers not from teams that have earned team qualification from nationals. Those individuals must place in the Top 20 finishers in order to qualify. In the case of less than 12 teams finishing, individual national qualifiers will go to the top four individuals not from qualifying teams who are in the Top 15 finishers overall.
