Paris named RSC Baseball Player of the Week from Asbury (Ky.)
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Asbury (Ky.) University infielder Walker Paris hit .500 in three games to earn River States Conference Baseball Player of the Week for Feb. 17-23.
The Vincennes, Ind., native went 4 for 8 as the Eagles won all three of their games on the week. All four hits were doubles for a slugging percentage of 1.000 for the week. He also scored three runs, walked three times and drove in seven.
All of that came in a sweep of Johnson University. Paris was 2 for 4 in the opener with a pair of doubles and five RBIs. He doubled in each of the remaining games and tacked on a couple more RBIs.
Asbury is 8-2 and will host IU South Bend on Friday and Saturday for a series.
