Midway's Smith nets RSC Women's Tennis Player of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Midway (Ky.) University junior Claire Smith went 11-3 on the trip to Florida to net River States Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week from March 1-8.
A product of Lexington, Ky., Smith was 6-1 in singles play and 5-2 in doubles. Playing at No. 2 singles, Smith won four of her matches in straight sets. Midway won two of the matches during its week at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla.
