2020 RSC Women's Cross Country Coaches' Preseason Poll tabs Point Park at the front

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- The 2020 River States Conference Women's Cross Country Coaches' Preseason Poll has put Point Park (Pa.) University at the front of the pack this year. The Pioneers are predicted to win their fourth conference title in a row after voting was conducted by the 12 RSC cross country head coaches.

Point Park received 119 total votes and nine of the 12 possible first-place votes. The Pioneers return three of their top five performers from the team that won the RSC Championship in 2019.

WVU Tech came in second in the poll with 104 votes and the remaining three first-place votes. The Golden Bears were runner-up last year at the conference meet.

Indiana University Kokomo was voted third in the poll with 100 votes. The top four remained unchanged from last year's postseason meet with Indiana University East coming in fourth with 90 votes.

Midway (Ky.) University was picked fifth in the poll with 71 votes and bumped up one spot from the end of last year.

Asbury (Ky.) University and Ohio Christian University were picked tied for sixth place with 66 votes each. After Carlow (Pa.) University in eighth place with 44 votes, there was another tie with Alice Lloyd (Ky.) College and University of Rio Grande (Ohio) just one vote behind in a tie for ninth place with 43 votes each.

Brescia (Ky.) University received 30 votes, and RSC new member Oakland City (Ind.) University got 16 votes to round out the poll.
