Rio Grande's Campos nabs RSC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- University of Rio Grande (Ohio) freshman Lorna Campos scored five points in one game to claim River States Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week Sept. 14-20. The award was for her performance so far this season.
Campos, a native of Santiago, Chile, factored in every goal in a 3-1 win over Ohio Christian, the RSC opener. Campos scored the opening goal of the game, later broke the 1-1 tie and made the assist on the insurance goal to put things away in the 80th minute.
Rio Grande is 1-1 overall, 1-0 RSC and will host WVU Tech on Sept. 26.
