Midway's Tullar takes home RSC Volleyball Attacker of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Midway (Ky.) University senior Alysha Tullar was named River States Conference Volleyball Attacker of the Week Sept. 14-20. The award was for her performance so far this season.
Tullar tallied a combined 28 kills in the two matches so far for the Eagles. She started out with a season-high 17 kills versus Cincinnati-Clermont on Sept. 10. She then had 11 kills in a sweep of Alice Lloyd (Ky.) on Sept. 19. The performance versus ALC came in 13 attempts for an .846 percentage.
The 5-10, outside hitter from Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., hit .344 and averaged 4.00 kills per set in the two matches. She also posted seven digs and five aces.
Midway is 1-1 on the year and will play Welch College on Sept. 22.
