IU Kokomo's Porter scores RSC Volleyball Attacker of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Indiana University Kokomo's Lorelei Porter was named River States Conference Volleyball Attacker of the Week for her play Sept. 20-26.
Porter, an outside hitter from Fishers, Ind., combined for 25 kills and hit .320 in a pair of Cougars victories on the week. She had 10 kills and just three errors in a sweep over Rio Grande (Ohio) and then 15 kills in a four-set victory over WVU Tech.
Porter averaged 3.57 kills per set and also put up a big block with five in each match. That effort pushed IU Kokomo to 5-0 overall, 4-0 RSC. The Cougars host Brescia (Ky.) and IU Southeast Oct. 2-3.
