Ohio Christian's Gillum claims RSC Women's Basketball Player of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Ohio Christian University center Rachel Gillum had a monster week to earn River States Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for Jan. 4-10.
The 6-0 sophomore from Springboro, Ohio, averaged 18.5 points and 18.0 rebounds per game while shooting 64 percent from the floor. In two games, she totaled 37 points and 36 boards as the Trailblazers went 1-1.
Gillum posted 22 points, 17 rebounds and three assists in a victory over Oakland City (Ind.). Despite 15 points and 19 rebounds from Gillum, Ohio Christian lost to Midway (Ky.). She made 16 of 25 field goals on the week.
