MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- The 2021 All-River States Conference Women's Soccer Teams & Awards have been unveiled at RiverStatesConference.com. The awards were selected after a vote of the 12 RSC women's soccer head coaches.

The All-RSC First & Second Teams feature 14 players each with four forwards, four midfielders, four defenders and two goalkeepers. Also selected were the individual awards for student-athletes and coaches and the RSC Women's Soccer Champions of Character Team.

The two teams that will meet in the RSC Championship Finals on Nov. 13 -- University of Rio Grande (Ohio) and Ohio Valley (W.Va.) University -- combined to claim all the individual awards. The RedStorm will be at the Fighting Scots for the championship at Nov. 13 at 1:00 p.m.

Rio Grande forward Chase Davis took home two of the awards. She was named RSC Player of the Year and RSC Offensive Player of the Year with 10 goals and 26 points. Both of those are fourth in the conference for the regular-season runner-up RedStorm.

Ohio Valley's Ximena Jauregui was selected as RSC Defensive Player of the Year. The Fighting Scots' left back was a big reason why OVU had the stingiest defense in the RSC with just 12 goals allowed in 13 regular season games.

Ohio Valley midfielder Manuela Filipe was selected as the RSC Newcomer of the Year. She was the highest-ranked player who was new to the conference, and she is second on the Fighting Scots with six goals and 13 points.

Ohio Valley head coach Eric Belcher was chosen RSC Coach of the Year. He took over the Fighting Scots program in August and went on to post a record of 11-1-1 overall, 11-0 RSC during the regular season. That won the RSC Regular Season Championship for OVU.

The RSC Women's Soccer Champions of Character Team selected one player from each team who best displays the five values of NAIA Champions of Character: respect, responsbility, integrity, servant leadership and sportsmanship.
