IU East's Shirley grabs RSC Volleyball Setter of the Week

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Indiana University East second-year freshman Reece Shirley had a career-high for assists to claim River States Conference Setter of the Week for Nov. 1-7.

The Michigan City, Ind., native had a career-best 64 assists in a win over WVU Tech to highlight the week. That started off a 3-0 week for the Red Wolves, who claimed the RSC East Division title in the process.

For the week, Shirley had 118 total assists in 11 sets and three matches. She averaged 10.73 assists per set to add to her RSC lead in assists average. Shirley also added 33 total digs (3.33 per set), six total blocks and 10 kills on the week.

IU East's next match is Nov. 12 at the RSC Volleyball Championship quarterfinals.
