IU East's Swimm repeats as RSC Volleyball Attacker of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Indiana University East outside hitter Jessica Swimm claimed her second River States Conference Volleyball Attacker of the Week honor in a row, this time for her play Nov. 1-7.
A second-year freshman from Hagerstown, Ind., Swimm had 49 kills in three matches on the week as the Red Wolves went 3-0 to claim the RSC East Division title. Highlights of the week included a school record 31 kills in a five-setter over WVU Tech and a career-high seven aces in a sweep of Carlow.
Swimm averaged 4.45 kills per set and hit .330 for the week. She totaled eight aces, 23 digs and two blocks, and she scored 58 points. IU East will play its next match in the RSC Volleyball Championship quarterfinals on Nov. 12.
