IU Southeast's Fisher gets another RSC Defender of the Week award
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Indiana University Southeast libero Lexie Fisher picked up her fourth River States Conference Volleyball Defender of the Week honor of the year. The latest award was for her play Nov. 1-7.
Fisher, a junior from Mt. Washington, Ky., totaled 62 digs in three matches as the Grenadiers were 3-0 to finish out the regular season. She averaged 6.89 digs per set to control the back row in wins over Asbury (Ky.), Oakland City (Ind.) and Brescia (Ky.).
She was also strong from the service line with a total of eight aces across the nine sets played. IU Southeast wrapped up a record of 17-11 overall, 12-5 RSC to move into the RSC Volleyball Championship quarterfinals as a No. 3 seed on Nov. 12.
