Scruggs picks up another RSC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for WVU Tech
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Senior Tamon Scruggs kept (RV) WVU Tech on its major roll and earned another River States Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week. His second weekly honor of the year came for his play Dec. 20-26.
Scruggs, from South Charleston, W.Va., had a big performance in the Golden Bears' only game of the week, a divisional win over IU East. In the 104-80 victory, Scruggs had 28 points, four rebounds and five assists.
The win pushed the WVU Tech win streak to 11 games in a row and improved the Golden Bears to 14-2 overall, 5-0 RSC. Scruggs was very efficient in the matchup making 11 of 15 from the floor for 73 percent and 3 for 4 from long range.
WVU Tech will get back into action Jan. 6 versus IU Southeast.
