Midway's Evans named RSC Men's Basketball Player of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Midway (Ky.) University forward Kwon Evans averaged a big double-double to gain River States Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for Feb. 8-14.
The 6-4 senior from Louisville, Ky., averaged 27.5 points, 10.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game as the Eagles went 2-0. He made 61 percent of his field goals (23 for 38) and was 5 for 11 from beyond the arc for 46 percent.
Evans started out with 26 points, 10 rebounds and four assists versus Asbury. He finished up with 29 points, 10 rebounds and three assists versus Alice Lloyd (Ky.), a performance that included 12 for 16 from the field and 5 for 6 from long range.
Midway will be at IU Kokomo on Feb. 17.
