IU Kokomo's Gaylor snags RSC Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Indiana University Kokomo thrower Grant Gaylor shined in the shot put last weekend to earn River States Conference Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week for Feb. 8-14.
A senior from Kokomo, Ind., Gaylor uncorked a toss of 16.65 meters to win first place at the Indiana Tech Classic. That throw is ranked first in the RSC, seventh in the NAIA and set a school record. He won the event by more than one meter.
Next up for the Cougars is the RSC Indoor Track & Field Championships Feb. 20 in Logan, Ohio.
