WVU Tech's Smith named RSC Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- WVU Tech senior Steven Smith put up another top time in the race walk to earn River States Conference Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week for Feb. 8-15.
The South Portland, Maine, posted a time fo 13 minutes, 18 seconds in the 3,000-meter race walk to place second at the Montreat meet. That gives him another highly ranked time in the NAIA this year. He already ranked first in the country with a time of 12:19 the week before.
Next up for the Golden Bears is the RSC Indoor Track & Field Championships Feb. 20 in Logan, Ohio.
