Stephens-Stewart named RSC Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week for Point Park (Pa.)
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Point Park (Pa.) University freshman Daimere Stephens-Stewart won both sprints this past weekend to earn River States Conference Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.
Stephens-Stewart, from Pittsburgh, Pa., won the weekly honor on the track just one week after being named the conference athlete of the week in the field for his jumps. Back on the track, Stephens-Stewart won the 60 meters and 200 meters at the Ohio Christian University Trailblazer Invitational.
His win the 60 meters was with a time of 7.05 seconds to improve upon his conference-best mark. Stephens-Stewart won the 200 in 23.76 seconds to give him two of the top four times in the RSC.
Point Park will be at the RSC Indoor Track & Field Championship Feb. 20 at Logan, Ohio.
