Asbury's Haupt collects RSC Baseball Player of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Asbury (Ky.) University first baseman Paul Haupt hit over .500 and smashed 10 RBIs in three games to earn River States Conference Baseball Player of the Week for Feb. 22-28.
The senior from Louisville, Ky., was 7 for 13 in a series sweep of Grace (Ind.) to hit .538 over the three games on the week. He doubled four times, tripled, scored three runs and knocked in those 10 runs. Haupt cranked out 13 total bases in 13 at bats for a 1.000 slugging percentage.
Haupt started out the series going 1 for 4 with a triple and three RBIs. He was just getting started as later he was 3 for 4 with two doubles and three RBIs and then 3 for 5 with two doubles and four RBIs.
Asbury is 9-2 entering its matchup with Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) on Tuesday, March 2.
