(RV) Asbury's Suvimolstean nets RSC Men's Tennis Player of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Asbury (Ky.) University junior Kaikai Suvimolstean won three matches on the week to register River States Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week for March 1-7.
A product of Bangkok, Thailand, Suvimolstean came up big with the clinching win in a 6-0 victory over (RV) Campbellsville (Ky.), the Eagles' first-ever win over the Tigers. In that match, he won at No. 2 singles by scores of 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 and at No. 1 doubles by a score of 6-3.
Despite Suvimolstean's 6-4 win at No. 1 doubles, Asbury fell to No. 19 Grace (Ind.), 6-1. He also played No. 1 singles with a 6-4, 4-1 loss.
Asbury is 2-1 and will be hosting Union (Ky) on March 12.
