No. 24 IU Southeast's Ogg claims RSC Softball Pitcher of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- No. 24-ranked Indiana University Southeast had junior Hannah Ogg go 4-0 with a save to claim River States Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week March 1-7.
The 5-10 native of Wadesville, Ind., worked in all six games the Grenadiers played on the week. She went 3-0 as a starter, won a game in relief, picked up a save and had a no-decision in another outing.
For the week, Ogg worked a total of 25.2 innings and posted a 2.18 ERA. She struck out 24 and walked five while allowing nine runs and 22 hits. She pitched a complete game in a 6-1 victory over No. 5 Marian (Ind.). That included six strikeouts and no walks.
Another start featured eight strikeouts, two walks and only four hits allowed in an 8-1 win over Siena Heights (Mich.). Ogg also got the win in 3.0 scoreless innings in the nightcap versus Siena Heights. She factored in both wins over St. Francis (Ind.) picking up the win in 6.0 innings and then the save closing out a 2-1 victory in game two.
IU Southeast is 11-1 and will host St. Francis (Ill.) on March 9.
