Midway's Lewis cards RSC Women's Golfer of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Midway (Ky.) University senior Jenna Lewis turned in a top-10 finish at the Pinehurst Invitational to claim River States Conference Women's Golfer of the Week for March 1-7.
A native of Shelbyville, Ky., Lewis had a two-day score of 166 at the tournament held at Pinehurst No. 6. She had the best score of anyone in the first round at 77 and followed that up with an 89 to finish in seventh place of 43 golfers.
Lewis led the Eagles to fifth place of eight teams. Midway is at the Point (Ga.) Invitational March 8-9.
