Asbury's Morrison picks up RSC Baseball Pitcher of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Asbury (Ky.) University left-hander Tyler Morrison pitched a shutout to earn River States Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week for March 1-7.
The 6-4 sophomore from La Grange, Ky., blanked Point Park in a 3-0 win over 7.0 innings. He struck out six, walked none and allowed just three hits. The Pioneers had just three base runners in the game, and none of them got past first base.
Asbury won the weekend series with that victory to improve to 12-3 overall, 2-1 RSC. The Eagles host Trinity International on March 9.
