Rio Grande's Robinson, Barr bring home RSC Outdoor T&F Athlete of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- University of Rio Grande (Ohio) senior Chanavier Robinson and freshman Kaila Barr earned the River States Conference Women's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week for April 5-11.
Robinson,from Ravenna, Ohio, was second in the 200 meters and third in the 100 meters at the Centre College Twilight meet. Her time in the 200 was 26.61 seconds, and she ran 12.79 seconds in the 100. Robinson also won the long jump in the field competitions with a leap of 5.52 metes.
Barr, from Waverly, Ohio, took first place in both the discus and hammer throw at Centre. She beat out 26 other throwers to win the discus at 40.36 meters. She was first place of 25 competitors in the hammer throw with a toss of 45.72 meters.
