MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- WVU Tech senior Michael Ecker-Randolph earned a big win to claim River States Conference Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week for April 12-18.

Ecker-Randolph, from St. Petersburg, Fla., ran the 1,500 meters in a time of 4:01 to set a meet record and win first place at the University of Charleston Golden Eagle Invite. He beat 12 other runners at the NCAA Division II event.

Ecker-Randolph was just off his RSC-best time of 4:00.59 set earlier this year at Montreat.
