2020-21 All-RSC Women's Soccer Teams & Awards Announced
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- The 2020-21 All-River States Conference Women's Soccer Teams & Awards have been announced after the vote of the league's 11 head coaches.
The All-RSC First & Second Teams consist of 14 players each -- four forwards, four midfielders, four defenders and two goalkeepers. Also announced are the individual awards and the RSC Women's Soccer Champions of Character Team.
Midway (Ky.) University senior forward Brynn Bradley headlines the All-RSC Teams & Awards as both the RSC Player of the Year and the RSC Offensive Player of the Year. The Nicholasville, Ky., native leads the conference with 12 goals and 29 points on the year. She has five assists on the year as well.
WVU Tech junior goalkeeper Jenna Miller was voted as the RSC Defensive Player of the Year. The native of Lake Jackson, Texas, leads the conference with 112 saves, a figure that ranks ninth nationally. She posted a 1.67 goals-against average and came up big with PK stops in a playoff victory.
University of Rio Grande (Ohio) midfielder Lorna Campos was voted as RSC Newcomer of the Year. The freshman from Santiago, Chile, started all 12 games and collected five goals, five assists and 15 points. She was the top vote getter among new players to the league.
Point Park (Pa.) University's John Newbery was selected as RSC Coach of the Year. The first-year head coach led the Pioneers to the No. 1 seed in the playoffs and an 8-2 RSC record. That tied for the RSC regular season championship.
The complete All-RSC First & Second Teams are posted below. The RSC Champions of Character Team honors one player from each school who was nominated by their coach as the member who best exhibits the NAIA core values of the respect, responsibility, integrity, servant leadership and sportsmanship.
