MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Indiana University East junior Jo Wisecup earned medalist honors at the conference tournament to bring home RSC Women's Golfer of the Year honors. For that performance, she was also justly named RSC Women's Golfer of the Week for April 26-May 2.

Wisecup, from Enon, Ohio, rewrote a big part of the IU East record book by shooting matching scores of 1-over par 73 in the final two rounds of the RSC Championship. That gave her the lowest spring 18-holes scores in team history and the best 36-hole stretch of 146 in program history. Finally, her score of 226 over 54 holes was a school record.

Wisecup won by five shots tanks to her strong play the final two rounds. She led IU East to a runner-up finish and earned an individual qualification to the NAIA Women's Golf National Championship later this month.
