Asbury's Paris claims fourth RSC Baseball Player of the Week accolade
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Asbury (Ky.) University third baseman Walker Paris had another big week to claim his fourth River States Conference Baseball Player of the Week award of the season. This time was for his play April 26-May 2.
Paris went 8 for 10 with two homers and eight RBIs in a three-game series versus Midway, the only games of the week for Asbury. That performance upped his NAIA-leading RBI total to 79 and bumped his average to .445 with 14 homers.
Paris was 2 for 4 with a homer and two RBIs in the series opener, an 11-8 win. Despite Paris going 4 for 4 with a home run and four RBIs, the Eagles lost the third game, 13-9.
