Campbell wins RSC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for Point Park (Pa.)
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Point Park (Pa.) University senior Alyssa Campbell started her year with a weekly honor as River States Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week Sept. 6-12.
Campbell, from New Brighton, Pa., took runner-up honors at the Bethany (W.Va.) Invitational. Her time of 22 minutes, 48 seconds in the 6,000-meter race was second of 108 runners in the field. She was one of two runners under 23 minutes and led Point Park to second place of 13 teams in the standings.
