Alderton races to RSC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for Brescia (Ky.)
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Brescia (Ky.) University junior Bree Alderton won first place at IU East to take home River States Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week Sept. 13-19.
Alderton, from Owensboro, Ky., made her debut for Brescia at the IU East Invitational. She won the 5,000-meter race with a time of 19 minutes, 12 seconds out of 53 runners. She won by more than two minutes on the course that will host the RSC Championship last this year. The Bearcats placed second as team.
Brescia will be at the Greater Louisville Classic Oct. 2.
