Rio Grande's Tadic named RSC Men's Basketball Player of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- A pair of 20-point games secured River States Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for University of Rio Grande (Ohio) guard Miki Tadic. The award is for his play Dec. 27-Jan. 2.
Tadic is a sophomore from The Netherlands, and he averaged 24.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game in a 2-0 week for the RedStorm. He shot 47 percent from the field and 48 percent from long range. Tadic drained 13 3-pointers in the two games.
He started out with 24 points and six treys in a win at (RV) Pikeville (Ky.), 59-52. Tadic finished off the week with 25 points and another seven 3-pointers in a 77-64 victory over Miami-Hamilton.
Rio Grande is 8-8, 3-2 RSC and will host Midway (Ky.) on Jan. 6.
