Midway's White picks up another RSC Women's Basketball Player of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Another impressive week from Midway (Ky.) University guard Dezeree White notched her River States Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for Dec. 27-Jan. 2. It's the second weekly honor of the year for the junior from Houston, Texas.
White averaged 26.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 5.5 steals and 3.0 assists while shooting 67 percent in two games. The Eagles were 2-0 to improve to 13-4 on the year.
White did her part with 14 points, five rebounds, six steals and three assists in a win over Huntington (Ind.). She then had a career performance with 38 points on 14 for 18 shooting in a victory over Concordia (Mich.). That game also featured six rebounds, five steals, three assists and a 10-for-11 effort at the foul line.
Midway (6-0 RSC) plays at No. 18 Rio Grande (Ohio) (16-1, 5-0 RSC) on Jan. 6 in a matchup of RSC West and East Division leaders.
